The Lundberg Survey has shown that gas prices in the United States have risen an average of eight cents in just two weeks on the back of rising oil prices. The average retail price of all three types of gas is now at US$2.24.
The Lundberg Survey is released every two weeks, and studies some 7,000 petrol stations across the US. The rise in the prices over the last two weeks has brought the slide in prices – started in April – to a grinding halt.
The Survey found that the most expensive gas could be found in Honolulu at US$2.46 a gallon for regular unleaded, and the lowest price was US$2.04 a gallon in Charleston, South Carolina.
