The US Drug Enforcement Administration has revealed a plot by Osama Bin Laden to spike tens of millions of dollars of cocaine, weighing many tons, which was planned a year after 9/11 but didn't happen because of a refusal by Columbian suppliers.
The Columbians knew that poisoned coke would probably kill thousands in the US, destroying the very market that they depend upon for continuous business. They are reported to have met Bin Laden in a face-to-face meeting during 2002.
It is believed that such a plan would only have been of financial benefit to the drug barons in the short-term, where they would have made millions of dollars by selling large quantities of the drug to Al Qaeda but very little thereafter.
not sure about rat poison in esctasy and acid... but people do sell dried up bleach as crystal meth...
as for the story... yeah their going to kill people with a drug that is already killing people... they be better of spiking cigarettes... more people use them... not only that but its hard to quit even if you want to... luckily i've never had to go against quitting cigarettes as i never started smoking them.

they used to use it to kill flies they use it as embalming fluid they use it in dyes which are toxic they use it in fertilzers

i've actually never used or been sold any kind of bad drugs... not from a dealer anyways... ritlin however is another story and that was a doctor (pill pusher) not a dealer.
nor have i had the effects from drugs that governments and private groups love talking about... i'm all for awareness, but not their scare tactics.
Angel dust, formaldehyde, embalming fluid, dipped, super weed etc. are all just names for PCP a fairly powerful dissasociative drug that was at once time used by the army I believe.

If Bin Laden had done any homework at all, he'd know that the drug-war propaganda would have made this a fairly useless plan. Sure, we'd finally find out just how many people use at least one illegal drug in the good ol' USA, which would be of some interest. However, many would just see this as just a bunch of dead druggies, no matter how many it claimed, which would really blunt the effect. It certainly wouldn't radicalize Bush's social conservative backers, unless an amusingly ironic number of their own keeled over. Of course, we know that his corporate supporters would be incensed, whoever was left standing.
i was actually more refering to given the health consequence but most people tend not to even think about this.
out of the 5 different drugs i've done in my life cocaine was the worst... glad i only ever got it for free and only a few times... maybe 5... to me weed and hash are far superior "drugs", based on effects, duration and health consequences.

the other two were shrooms and Esctacy... E is iffy one time i tried it (only done E maybe 5 times also) it made my sight better in the bright sunlight... bright lights cause me to have headaches from time to time, esspecially sunlight.
shrooms are ok if you can get past the taste, smell and texture of them... great with pizza... not just funny...lol
worst thing about them with me is you don't feel like moving very far... maybe a move a few limbs... and damnit no bleeding walls...lol
Bin Laden would have no interest in killing hordes of impoverished drug addicts. The US government probably has a higher interest in that, because of the way this group of the population contributes to the overall crime level. Much cheaper if they weren't around.
Besides, it would be rediculously expensive to do this. The US imports many things like spices, fruits and wine, that are probably better candidates for this type of (hair brain) scheme.

Its just its easier to spike drugs than any other product. Also you would be surprised at the people who take drugs...many well off and important people.
But I agree, I think it would have been largely ignored and written off as "they shouldnt have been doing coke in the first place."

That is absurd. If they are on coke, I don't care how rich they are, they are not well-off, and if they are an important leader who is taking it, then their judgement isnt good enough for leadership in the first place.
But how is anyone gunna know..obv. not the president but important figure heads that makes society run smoothly. And just killing loadsa useless people would cause havoc anyway. What about in NY or LA? Think how many thousands in those cities alone take drugs all dying around the same time. Cant bury 'em all quick enough and so disease will spread. The drug could get into the water supply along with disease. This creates panic on a mamoth scale. Poeple will get paraniod about everything being spiked.
Spike a substance that, well in my belief anyways, noone can stop using once started, only say they quit for a while, and drift back and forth. This way, a REQUIRMENT LIKE WATER to some people, is tainted. People will take the risk, "I've known my dealer for a few years now, he wouldn't sell me spiked shit..." Too bad he doesn't know if its spiked cuz he doesn't do it, if he does he's stupid. In my opinion, this is just another tactic of the DEA to try to keep kids off drugs. This time instead of death from "holes in the brain" caused by Ecstacy, its death from cocaine tainted by terrorists.

however, the war on drugs make columbia an enemy of america... personally i think the reason they refused was to insure future business, if your product suddenly kills thousands or hundreds of thousands of people your likelihood of future business plumets.

Yellowcake? That's actually a very scary idea. Imagine every line of coke in america was also speedballing with an opiate, or something similar to oxy. You'd be sitting on the bus, and the person sitting next to you just randomly starts going into convulsions, and suffers cardiac arrest. After a while that would be normal, scary...

i don't think FARC(i'm assuming) has much to fear from al-qaeda, arabs stick out like dogs balls in columbia... 'sif they wouldn't dob him in, the CIA doesn't have to disclose their sources of information. How deep into society would this 'poison coke' get anyway? the distibutor in the US (or europe...) would rack up to test it for quality and thats as far as it would get.
That's a very good comment actually there's no way in hell it'd go through the normal networks. Only small time dealers looking to get some cheap shit to sell would sell it.
Osama would basically have to get a large number of AlQui members to push the drug onto small time dealers and this could result in maybe 100 deaths.
This couldn't turn into an epidemic because once people start dieing, people won't buy off of the same dealer. And the chances of people using unknown dealers is pretty low anyway.
