Ex-FEMA Chief Brown Blames Others, Both Parties Criticize Action

Michael Brown, former FEMA director, blamed others for government failures especially LA Gov. Blanco and Mayor Nagin. He was giving testimony at House select committee. Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle chastised him for his statements.

"I'm happy you left," said Rep. Shays, R-Conn. "That kind of look in the lights like a deer tells me you weren't capable." Rep. Taylor, D-Miss., told Brown: "People thought there was some federal expertise out there. There wasn't. Not from you."

"I've overseen over 150 presidentially declared disasters. I know what I'm doing, and I think I do a pretty darn good job of it," Brown said. "We put ... in our budget request and it was removed by the Department of Homeland Security," he said.

"I've overseen over 150 presidentially declared disasters..."

Disaster #1 = Supreme Court handed the country to Bush. (It's been downhill ever since)

  blame game

As John Stewart said: What's that childish game where everyone points at everyone else? yeah, it's the blame game, and he's doing it. Be honest, a man whose last job was arabian horse shows, does not belong as the head of FEMA, no way no how

  Rock on Gov

LA Governor Blanco punked out Brown completely. She wouldn’t play the blame game and was on the offensive the whole interview with the investigation committee. Brown sounded like a kid on the playground that didn’t get his way. Reminds me of the entire Bush Administration.
