Chicago White Sox Take MLB World Series

Following in the footsteps of the Boston Red Sox, the Chicago White Sox have taken their first World Series since 1917, beating the Houston Astros 1-0 last night to take the series in one clean sweep.

It's just the third title for the White Sox, who won in 1906 and 1917. The team became known as the "Black Sox" when, led by Shoeless Joe Jackson, they threw the 1919 title against Cincinnati.

Jerry Reinsdorf, the team owner, said after last night's win that "I hope this is not a dream. I wish we were in Chicago tonight. It's surreal." The Astros have become the first team to lose every game in a World Series debut.

  nah

i wouldnt say that, it was there pitching

there i think 2 players hit over .290 on the team, i wouldnt say tha ts a force

Yes the pitching was good, but

I was referring to the team itself. I didn't say their hitting was a force, but I guess it's about time to. The hitting was a force in the postseason when the team average was second only to the Padres with .272 and the top slugging percentage at .476. Not to mention more home runs and RBI's per game than any other postseason team.

So you could say they were a force in the postseason.
