First File-Sharer Found Guilty in Sweden

Sweden has passed down its first conviction for the use of a file-sharing network. Andreas Bawer (28) has been found guilty of copyright infringement after he distributed a Swedish movie over the Internet.

Bawer was fined 16,000 Swedish kronor, which converts to US$2,000. The verdict was hailed as successful by the entertainment industry, which has previously criticised the Swedish government for being lax on file-sharers.

In handing down the ruling, the court said: "Making a film available to the public on the internet has significant consequences for the film industry. Illegal material can in this way be spread quickly and reach many people..."

  Classed as terrorism
Next thing Bush will label as terrorists will be file-sharers or enemy combatants of the music industry where we will be detained in I-Jail in Cuba where US jurisdiction applies but doesn't apply.

But hehehehe 'We are everywhere and we are nowhere, we are everyone and we are noone...look around you Neo, teachers, lawyers, bankers, policeman. If your not one of us, your one of them...' Fight the RIAA, free music, bleed Hollywood dry! 'Cause we all know that it's overflowing with sh!t.

And to all those legal begals who say I'm a crook well good on you...I get music, I don't share it...too dangerous - leads hackers to get in by searching files.

  This is great
This means that our police can't do anything since a fine is not worth getting a warrent for. BTW Filesharing IS a terrorist act in the US, the department of homeland security had, just a couple months ago, taken down a bunch of bittorrent sites and they had a dhs chief (or something) of something tell a grand jury (or however it works in the US) that piracy generates money for terrorists. And no one said shit, but I guess thats America for you...
