U.S. Flu Drug Shipments Suspended

Roche Holding AG in Switzerland has put a hold on Tamiflu shipments to the United States due to global demand. Tamiflu is an effective drug for fighting the flu.

"The priority is that there is enough Tamiflu for the people who need it at the start of the influenza season," Roche spokesman Alexander Klauser told The Associated Press. "At the moment, there is no influenza currently circulating."

Tamiflu may be useful if bird flu somehow transfered to people.
