A student at Nicholas County High School has been suspended after relieving himself in an ice machine in the lobby of the gymnasium on a dare. The machine was not taken out of service until the next day when the incident was reported to staff.
It is believed at least 31 people got ice from the machine after the student urinated in it. After contacting the Department of Health the chief of police said: "They said it was gross and morally wrong but not a health risk."
The school board is picking up the medical bills of those who were exposed to "ease the minds" of those who took ice from the machine after the incident. The health department says urine is sterile due to the body's filtering system.
