shoot the legs not the head, there needs to be an investigation here. From the video i saw there are 20 - 30 cops surrounding the guy but the video doesnt show the guy making any threatening movements towards the cop. There's something real dodgey with that scenario they will have to show the entire video of the incident because the way it looks right now to me from that edited video is overkill

First according to the source and video this individual had enough time to stop though he chose to try to attack the cop he got what he deserved.


Second you dont shoot to wound you shoot to stop. When you pull your sidearm you have already exahusted all other options or have already decided that your life or those around you lives are in jeporady by you not stoping the threat. I am a legaly armed citizen and have taken numerous training to prepare for situations like this. If it was me he would of got a min of two shots to the chest (area of greatest mass) and one to the head, the two to the chest would of at least slowed him down /dazed him and in the case if the shots did not stop him or they had body armor the head shot would end it. That is how most cops are trained to do it or at least here in the states they are.

Even a so called liberal like me doesn't really care about this.

He might have been mentally ill, but at the end of the day he had a weapon and would not put it down. End of story.

The media isn't showing the entire video. As for "shooting him in the leg", that's stuff you might find in an old Roy Rogers movie. Reality is far different. Officers are trained to shoot at center mass. The reasons for this have already been pointed out to you by another reader.

As entertaiing as that video may be, it is not the one pertaining to this news story.

Is all it takes in a movie to take anyone down, no matter what. In real life that doesnt happen unless you happen to hit and distroy a major organ. I have seen video's and heard accounts (family of ambulance officers and police officers) of men taking 3-4 bullets before even staggering. There is a reason police are trained to empty their gun into the large body mass. Its the only way to stop the target without getting themselves killed, or someone else killed. Which by the way is the only reason they are allowed to shoot. If this is a bad shoot (which I dont think it is) the police will be charged with murder. They have that running through their mind every time they take out their gun, dont you worry.

The 'why didnt they shoot out his legs' or 'just shoot the gun out of his hand' is not realistic and you should go shoot a gun for yourself and not believe your 'ultra cool law', 'western' or 'gansta' tv shows.
