Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos has announced that the rocket-ship complex of his aerospace company Blue Origin will open in 2006. Seattle's city records state that a warehouse in the suburb of Kent will be used to build engines and spacecraft.
While Bezos has remained mostly tight-lipped about Blue Origin, a reporter who interviewed him earlier in 2005 said Bezos plans a spacecraft that can take off and land vertically, and may have dreams of permanent space colonies.
It is the only interview Bezos has given in regards to his space plans, which include 3-man rockets being launched from a site in Texas, US.
