A suit that sprung up between Google and Microsoft over a former Microsoft executive has been settled. Microsoft sued Google when former employee Dr Kai-fu Lee was appointed to head the company's Chinese operations.
Whilst under Microsoft employ, Lee was in charge of setting up the company's research and development centre in Beijing. As such, Microsoft accused Google and Lee of being in breach of non-competition agreements.
Financial details of the settlement were not given, but both parties expressed satisfaction at the deal. The case was due to go to trial next month.
