A flaky pastry has been stolen from a coffeehouse in Nashville, Tennessee, US. The thief struck on Christmas day and took the 9 year old cinnamon bun from its display. The pastry is said to have a striking likeness to the late Mother Teresa.
T-shirts, prayer cards and coffee mugs with the bun's image used to be sold at the Bongo Java shop until Mother Teresa asked them to stop prior to her 1997 death.
Shop owner Bob Bernstein said: "Unfortunately I think it's somebody who wanted to take it to destroy it." He said the thief went right for the bun and ignored the nearby cash.
