England's Michael Owen has been sidelined for a maximum of ten weeks after breaking his foot on Saturday in a premiere league match against Tottenham. A definite 8 weeks recovery time will be needed.

Owen said that "It's disappointing, but everyone gets their fair share (of injuries), if there's any consolation I've got plenty of time before the World Cup." According to doctors, the injury does not threaten Owen's World Cup chances.
