70s star Isaac Hayes was admitted to a hospital in Memphis yesterday for exhaustion. The hospital visit was confirmed by Hayes's songwriting partner and long-time friend David Porter, who spoke to The Commercial Appeal newspaper.
Porter said: "He's just overworked and had been in Atlantic City performing, the D.C. area performing, and in Tunica (Miss.) a couple of nights ago. He was just overworked. He's doing much better."
Hayes is most well known for his 1971 hit song "Theme From Shaft" and more recently for his voice role as Chef on "South Park".
