Last Week's Missile Attack in Pakistan Managed to kill Al Qaeda Bomb Maker

ABC News has come to find out that the missile attack in Pakistan last week wasn't a total failure and managed to kill one of Al Qaeda's top bomb makers, Midhat Mursi, 52.

Pakistani officials identified the body of Midhat Mursi, also known as Abu Khabab al-Masri. Midhat Mursi was one of three known terrorist leaders attending the 'terror summit conference.'

Mursi was the one who ran the Derunta training camp in Afghanistan and currently had a 5 million dollar reward offered by the US for his capture. ABC News also confirmed that Ayman al-Zawahiri was scheduled to attend but later changed his mind.

Kill a large amount of random people and at least some of them will be bad guys, go USA!

You need to know something about the 'enemy'. For starters, much like the Vietcong, a lot of terrorists like to hide behind women and children. Then if 'something' occurs, they claim the attacker is such an infidel and a savage. Some what like the entourage of children, his own, that Bin Laden used to travel around the countryside with armed with machine guns pledging to 'fight to the death'.

Also, if you read the actual story, there were supposed to be three top Al Qaeda leaders present. One later bowed out.

I have to admit, I noticed that a lot of people tend to have very short memories and even shorter attention spans. Lets not forget the 3,000+ innocents of our own that were killed! 18 is a drop in the bucket...

To those who feel we must be 'understanding'

To those who feel that we must be 'tolerant and understanding' of the 'Moslem Cause/Religion', they're not tolerant of yours. Whether you be a Christian, Jew, or even an atheist. It's either there way and or the highway!

Lets not forget the perfect example we all witnessed when Palestinians ran into the Church of the Nativity in an attempt to escape the IDF. While there, they drank all the sacrament [wine] and urinated/deficated all over the church...

If that had of happened at a Mosque, all hell would have broken out. Somewhat like the poor sap that was killed a couple of years ago in Pakistan for urinated 'near' a Mosque!

  I am aware

Of the horrible and undeserving deaths that the people of the US had to endure but if you keep filling up a bucket with drops it eventually becomes full.

Are 3000 deaths over a period of time more acceptable than 3000 almost at the same time?

"Kill a large amount of random people and at least some of them will be bad guys, go USA!"
- My toughts exactly.

And to those of you who still use 9/11 to justify just about anything in this war I don't think this is right, from what you say everyone in the middle east is a potential terrorist like the vietcong who hides behind women and children...you know a smart bomb doesn't discriminate between combatant or if you like "terrorists" and the civilians. They can't be always hiding behind women and children or else it's counter productive you need them on your side and not as human shields. This kind of reminds me of team america, blow up a whole bunch of people and stuff just to kill one bad guy. America f*ck yeah...this is a war of religion again,a crusade. On one side you have the "terrorists" who are for the most part muslims and on the other side you have the ho so rightous Coalition mostly compose of hardcore christians beleivers who brings back the 9/11 to justify any mistake made to "protect their nation"...forget history and you are doomed to repeat it.

One question, why they didn't posted a sniper to take him out?instead of killing a lot of innocents IF this is their tactic of hiding behind women and children,a good shooter is more suitable for this kind of situation than a "dumb bomb",no??

Random? They had intelligence that three of the top leaders in Al Qaeda would be there and they in turn, leveled the place... Whats so random about that?

Its called WAR! We are at W-A-R, even though it hasn't been formally declared, we're at war none the less.

How many civilians do you think were killed in WWII? 30 million, perhaps 40 million?!?! Does that mean we, the US, shouldn't have fought?

As for using 7/11 as justification? You're damn right, it's called 'An Act of War'. Sounds familiar? Thats stuff that other countries do that make you 'go to war' with them.

Yea I know war is rough, its not for the meek. Using your logic, we shouldn't have fought in WWII [or WWI for that matter] because several hundred thousand people died who otherwise would have survived, provided we did nothing. Do you believe that?!?! Do you believe that if we did nothing, Bin Laden would have repented of his sins and turned the other cheek?

Personally I believe we should have nuked them back to the stone age when we knew where he was instead of pussy footing around, trying to be PC, with the natives.

Trust me, if had of taken a more aggressive, firmer stance on the situation, all those 'other' Bin Laden Jrs would have melted back in to the wood work.

Musch like Russia's stance back during the 60's,70's, and early 80's. You want to know why they didn't have problems with terrorists and the like during that period? Well I'll tell you.

Back during the late 70's some terrorists in Lebanon kidnapped a Russian citizen and held him hostage. When they gave the Russians an ultimatim, the Russians simply ignored it.

Instead, they managed to track down the ring leader and took him out on a small boat in the Mediterranian. There they preceeded to castrate him, stuff his testicles in his mouth, and then sewed his mouth shut. The Russian hostage was released the next day, immediately after the terrorist's body washed up on shore!

We are not at war. If we are at war then declare war. If the justification for not declaring war is that the local authority is 'co-operating' then you should be able to get in and surround the 'terrorists' and take them out. If the locals are not co-operating then declare war. As it stands no war is declared and all acts against civilians is terrorism of the worst and unjustifiable kind.

Do not bring WWII into this. In WWII the US declared war before going in. I also do not buy this 'invisible' enemy theory, it allows the ruling party to get away with anything.

As for the muslims urinating and defecating in the church of nativity, that is a bad example. 180 and 200 palestinians were inside the church, of course they are going to consume all the available drinks and piss where they stand. Snipers were all over this if you read the article.
I agree with you however that all muslim countries which submitted to islam for longer then 50yrs have laws prohibiting building churches and even repairing existing ones. In fact there are churches that had not been officially repaired for centuries.
