Nissan North America Inc has filed a recall notice with the National Highway Traffic Safety Authority for almost 200,000 vehicles. The company said that a filter hose cracked when exposed to a common pollutant in the air.
Nissan said the recall affects Infiniti FX35 and FX45 crossovers built between 2003 and 2006 and the Infiniti G35 and Nissan 350Z cars built between 2003 and 2004. Dealerships are expected to replace the hoses free of charge.
GM’s recall notice is an extension from an earlier recall, adding 553,000 units to the cars being recalled for a corrosive agent used in some states for wintry weather. The agent can damage the ABS in some cars.
