Unseeded Cypriot Reaches Australian Open Final

Unseeded player Marcos Baghdatis, 20, as been top-ten player David Nalbandian in the semi-final of the Australian Open. Baghdatis will now meet either number one Roger Federer or German Nicolas Kiefer.

Nalbandian took the first two sets easily, holding off a late push from Baghdatis to take the lead. Baghdatis clawed back and, despite a rain delay whilst serving for the match, took the semi-final 3-6, 5-7, 6-3, 6-3, 6-4.
