SPRINGFIELD, OR. - Clayton Everett Teman, 23, not only faces robbery charges, he also recovering from a bullet wound to his foot. Teman accidently shot himself while fleeing the scene of a robbery.
According to Springfield police Detective Tom Rappe, Teman robbed a local diner. He returned to rob it a second time because he was unsatisfied with the amount of cash he received the first time. He told a clerk the second time that he wanted more.
While fleeing the scene of the robbery, Teman fired numerous shots from a handgun while running through a parking lot. One of the shots struck him in the foot. Police surmise that Teman was on methamphetamine at the time of the incident.
