SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Staffers at Seton Hall, a Catholic university founded in 1856, were surprised to find that a toll free number listed on the school's admissions application offered the opportunity to chat with "hot, horny girls."
The number, which somehow had gotten transposed, was printed on applications sent out to thousands of prospective students overseas. The number featured a recording offering the callers the opportunity call a second number for only $2.99 a minute.
According to Seton Hall spokesman Thomas White, the error was on both online and print applications and may have been there for years. The number was intended to put callers in contact with World Education Services.
