Ikea, the Swedish furniture giant, has announced it plans to build a major outlet on the outskirts of Belfast, Northern Ireland. The planned outlet will create some 400 jobs for the area. The site will be near Belfast City Airport.
The company must still seek planning permission for the project. A further 100 jobs would be outsourced in the home delivery sector. Simultaneously, the company announced plans to seek permission for an outlet on the outskirts of Dublin.
