Character actor Richard Bright, who recently appeared on "The Sopranos" and was in all three "Godfather" movies, was struck by a bus in New York City and killed Saturday in his Manhattan neighborhood.
Bright, 68, was hit by a private Academy Bus and the driver told police that he didn't even know he had struck someone. The investigation is continuing and no charges or arrests have been made at this time.
Bright was the mob enforcer Al Neri in the "Godfather" movies and a bodyguard to the Corleone family patriarchs. "He always said it was the work that was the reward," said a friend and fellow actor, Brett Smiley.
