Gianpaolo Tarabini, 67, who founded the Italian Blumarine firm, was killed by an elephant whilst on a hunting trip in Zimbabwe. Gianpaolo is said to have been in the company of two friends who escaped the attack by two elephants
Gianpaolo’s friends stated that he had a strong affection for Africa, and was an knowledgeable explorer. Gianpaolo who died shortly after the attack requested to be taken back to Carpi.
