Adrian McPherson was unexpectedly blitzed during the third quarter of a game against the Titans on August 12th. It wasn't the Tennessee Titan's linesmen that did him in, it was the Titan's wreckless raccoon mascot behind the wheel of a golf cart.
McPherson, the quarterback in his second season for the Saints, was taken out of the game after being checked by a trainer. He managed to walk off of the field.
The Saints have not provided further information on McPherson's condition. The mascot was driving off of the football field at the time of the incident and was reportedly throwing things from the moving vehicle during half-time but was not arrested.
