Ford Motor Co. has developed a gas cap free system that will be implimented on all of it cars. It will be easier on the environment and a lot easier to use with no more lost gas caps. The 2008 Lincoln MKS sedan will be the first to come gas cap free.
"It eliminates the inconvenience of forgetting to put your gas cap back on after refueling. It's also better for the environment because no gas fumes escape. It's the direct result of listening to our customers," said Mark Fields with Ford.
GM and Chrysler will also be introducing a yellow gas cap to indicate that the vehicle sporting one is capable of running on gasoline, E85 or a mixture of both.
