Woman Beats Odds of 1 in 3,669,120,000,000 and Wins Lottery Twice

Valerie Wilson, who won the New York lottery four years ago, has beaten the odds and bagged herself another million dollars for a second time against what experts claim are odds of 1 in 3,669,120,000,000.

The Long Island deli worker told Newsday, "The first time I couldn't believe it," adding "This time I said, 'God's on my side'."

According to New York state lottery officials, Valerie is not the first double jackpot winner in the lottery's history and she will be receiving $50,000 a year for the next 20 years rather than a lump sum.

  Three trillion?!
The odds were what - three trillion, 669 billion etc to ONE? Im sorry but when someone hits odds like that one has to wnoder about other factors. She says God is on her side - well something surely is. Yes there is a 'chance' this would have happened but such an incredibly small chance that Im afraid one can't just consider it as just a rare possiblity that happened to have occured.

Not a big believer in 'luck', guardian angels and other things and yet...

  I wish
my luck was like that...I'm bad enough as 1 in 10 chances. >.<

While I'm not the strongest believe in luck, I can't agree with VSwift saying that there are other factors. What motives could the lottery have of some how favoring her...mainly since it would mean the end of their reputation if anyone found out.

  wonder
did she just spend half her first million on more scratch cards.. just sittin in some crappy news agents with a few massive sack of dollar coins

  She spent the first million
on a time machine. Now she can just go ahead a day and get the numbers anytime she wants. Brilliant!

  Talk about luck...
...just too bad god had nothing to do with it.

Yeah I'm sure God was on your side love
I'm sure he was also there when you "almost" tripped over that crack in the pavement the other day, right?

And when you found that fiver on the floor when you were 6?

But not when you broke your arm. Of course not - that's just bad luck.

  hmm
if your 56 years old, what are you doing with money in 20 years? the lump sum was probably more realistic here
