Raffaele Artesi, a musician, was booked on Alitalia Airlines with his entire band to fly to Naples for a news conference to present a new tour.
Raffaele became enraged when he found six of his band members boarded, but he and 5 others were denied passage. He wasn't able to board the plane due to overbooking. Upon hearing this, he bit a worker's ear leaving the ear lobe hanging.
Artesi was arrested on the spot. The victim, Davide Ruzza, said from his hospital bed: "After 16 years working here, I am definitely going to change my job. I don't want to risk my life for an overbooking."
