Foley: Nudists Say He's 'Hypocritical'

Republican Representative, Mark Foley, was a key player in the attempt to shut down a nudist camp for kids in 2003 calling for heads on Scarborough Country, The O’Reilly Factor, The Early Show and Good Morning America.

The camp became a cause celebre for Foley’s moral assault bringing much publicity to the upstart kiddy camp. Foley warned the public the camp could expose children to pedophiles, and the operators of the camp were akin to child pornographers.

Of the camps web site Foley wrote, “I believe they may be endangering these children.” The camps owners were appalled that Foley was sending suggestive e-mails to minors a full two years before he started his moral crusade against the camp.

  As far...
.. as I'm concerned, Foley was one of those guys who preached because of his own sin. The entire "if I protest this issue enough, then no one will suspect me of being a pedeophile"

Is he gay or isn't he gay? Because another article says he is and this article talks about a nudist camp.

I guess Foley would know best...
"Foley warned the public the camp could expose children to pedophiles, and the operators of the camp were akin to child pornographers."

To catch a thief, you got to think like a thief.

"To catch a thief, you got to think like a thief."

Or in this case, a turd-burglar :)

  This guy
has got to be feeling some pressure right now. I feel sorry for him, but feel good about getting rid of scandalous politicians.

  Can we change the title?
I'd imagine it's offensive to gays.
  by: p_g_chris   10/04/2006 09:39 PM
  Changed the title...
The article is about nudists, not gays.

  operation smokescreen: *mission accomplished*
Foley's reputation is now down. He's likely to be brought under charges. I don't know what's left to be done. In 4 months, this will have meant nothing as he slinks off into obscurity.

Meanwhile, another bill gets passed into handing Bush more executive powers. This is valid reporting - but can we assign it to 'sexuality' and 'crimes' instead of Politics?
  by: redstain   10/04/2006 10:03 PM
  *and another thing*
if we have another Foley article, we'll have successfully obliterated the entire Politics channel with this story.

Even Karr media frenzy didn't accomplish that.
  by: redstain   10/04/2006 10:06 PM
Strictly speaking, what's left to be done, is to find out how just how long the repubs knew about his behaviour and kept it quiet. Family values party my a**.
  by: StarShadow     10/04/2006 10:22 PM
  call a hypocrite a hypocrite
Yes, you have a point about the 'family values' issue.

Indeed, this scandal can be used as a political tool - and the Republicans would have no compunction in doing the same if the tables were turned. Imagine what would happen if it transpired that Karr was a Democrat.

But we only have ___ 3 ___ headlines per channel. Maybe there is a way of 'superceding' a headline with another if it was deemed a 'thread'.

Fox News: trying to pass off Foley as a Democrat?

  I just heard
that pages had been warning each other about foley as long as 11 years ago.

  Nude Youth Camps
My family lives at a nudist club. Two of my daughters have atteneded nude youth camps. Never have they, or would they ever be subjected to the salacious come-ons of disgraced former Congressman Foley. I will not get in the gutter and criticize a sick person, I am more concerned with the admiration that is being displayed for his "concern" and his "efforts" to save nudist children from hobgoblins that exist more in the fertile minds of repressed citizens, than exist in real life. "Concerns" and "efforts" that label US as wackos and impinge on our family values, while all the while the truth was being perverted for poltical gain.

  Pointless article
This article shouldn't even be posted. Is this even news? This is an instrument to drum up the story of Foley's character assasination. He ****** his boyfriend who was OF AGE. Who cares? Let's all crowd around and read the flirty conversations he had with his adult (he was AT LEAST 16 and probably 18 actually from recent reports) boyfriend and punish him! Hahaha.

The point is Republicans wouldn't know morality if it bit them on the head of their <deleted> while getting a <deleted> from a 13 year old boy!
Enjoy the reading and Google any of the names, I did and they all came up dirty. “The Family Values Party”, oh for F’s sake, I hope not! Those are some pretty screwed up family values.

That link, Flashby, makes me so angry. Too many people easily succumb to bullshit, and this one would actually prove to be effective.

The National Democratic Party should SUE Fox for such aggrievous and criminal slander.
