Anti-Matter Chemistry Born

For the first time matter and anti-matter have been combined to form a new substance called protonium. Consisting of a negatively charged antiproton and a positively charged proton, the matter remained in existence for a millionth of a second before annihilation.

The new substance was created by accelerating matter to 97% of the speed of light, hitting a target, then slowing it down to just 10% of the speed of light. After several stages of cooling, the antiprotons were caught in an electrostatic trap.

A research group called The Athena collaboration has been using the CERN lab in Geneva to perform the experiments.

Actually there already is a dilithium: Dilithium and higher numbers of covalently bonded lithium atoms do exist in the real world, albeit in small quantities. It has been observed, for example, that 1% of lithium in the vapor phase (by mass) is in the form of dilithium. Clusters of lithium atoms also exist; the most common arrangement is Li6. - Wikipedia.

I bet voting for Bush feels just right now doesnt it? He will declare war on physics, well at least when he learns to spell it.

So here comes the Anti-matter bomb

A bomb that can litterly wipe a country off the map, with no radiation, so a invading country can move right in. I wonder which country will develop it first, thus indicating which language I should learn in a vain hope to save myself.

I worked @ a Nike Missle site in Danvers Mass. 1969-70.

The last "nuclear" nike missle site on the east coast. It was dismanteled in later 70's

three times a day. we had to check missle cordinates for missle #12. I was one of three puter operators for this function or Mos

The "tallest building in Boston, The Prudential building ..those were the cordinates for missle #12

When they built the John Hancock building in Boston. Those cordinates changed to "that" building.

This is "NUCLEAR"!!!!

REASONING" ? : if the enemy somehow over runs us, and takes over, after all our missles are launched, and we are invaded.. BLOW THE WHOLE FRIGIN THING UP!!!

why.. so they can't use our currency, businessess, and treasures etc..

Our government does some incredible things. !! eye know only two well. I had held two top secret clearances.

One in crypto, the other as Nike missle puter tech/op

you just would't believe what is about to happen.. we have Major sea ""excersices" headed over to the persian gulf.. almost everything we got!!! STAY TUNED. watch... here it comes...."and every eye SHALL see it"!!

Dilithium wasn't even the result of the matter/anti-matter reaction in the Star Trek universe. It just helps control the reaction.

1 millionth of a second. man, thats a long time.

anyway, majikmaje, it hurts trying to comprehend what you write some times. It would help out a lot more if you tried to write better. More people might take you seriously. Not trying to demean you or anything, just putting it out there as a suggestion for you.

Mark up yet another wide eye'ed "real life" tale told by majikimaje. In the last post it was a childhood story of growing up under catholic tyranny and majikimaje being the one child stand against their teachings all while being beaten by them. I would believe more of your stories if you tried and work on your spelling a bit more. I'm no composition teacher but "I" and "eye" are two different things. I guess the lack of being able to write must be a factor in obtaining two top secret clearances, if you're unable to write and spell simple single syllable words then who would believe you're own written account of all the "top secret" things you've seen during your high level government appointment.

  THANK YOU SO MUCH

Your compliments were well taken.

I read the faq and I didn't see any mention of penalties for mis-spelling words.

typical of today's youth. Find something to find fault with.

eye & I ?? wow..thanks for pointing that out.. I didn't know you didn't have a sense of humor, sorry to offend you so terribly.

but what pisses me off is the way you deliberately TWISTED around the truth.

I got slapped by one nun for one sentence.. NOT BEATEN BY THEM as you wrote. Because as you put it .. I was against their teachings. No, I was against one statement made by one nun.
quite a difference, quite a different picture.

I could give tew hoots about my spelling and using phonetically sounding words. so sorry your sense of humor SuXs!!

I have lost many skills living up here in the far north. I will be the first to admit that. Grammar is one thing that is butchered up here by the natives, and I gotta admit that at times I don't write a complete sentence observing all the rules/laws of correct grammatical sentence structure. But my POINT.. gets clearly made. The U.S. government was willing to blow up Boston! Using one nuclear missle.

I wonder if you, or people like you, 50 years ago. I wonder what you would have said to Albert Einstein. would you concentrate on his messy hair?? Or would you look at the whole person and realize that this person had much to offer the world, with his knowledge.

If you saw me walking down the street. I am sure you would avoid me like the plaque. All because I don't LOOK RIGHT.

A very kind doctor screwed up big time many years ago. All I had was the flu.

Six doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong with me and they cut me open. Nothing wrong. they sewed me back up.. THREEE TIMES..I told them just insert a "zipper" it would be much easier. they screwed up big time. I can't collect. there is no malpractice in Alaska. So what did I get out of all of this. ha ha ha.. I look like I am about to have twins any day now. I have been pregnant for almost 8 years. That's exactly what I look like. I got a huge ventrial hernia sticking out my navel that is bigger than the size of a basketball.

btw..when I see someone on this board make a spelling error(s). I don't judge them or bash them. Lots of people make spelling errors here. Sometimes even CC's have to correct the mistakes, but I have never witnessed anyone pointing out people's spelling errors.

See, here in the Arctic. we use pencils that have erasers on them.. becaus up here. EVERYONE makes mistakes.

I am reminded of an incident that happened in a college. A professor held up a sheet of paper with two dots on it. He asked the class.. what do you see. EVERYONE in that class, made mention of the two small tiny dots on that piece of paper, or some remark that involved the two tiny dots.

FINALLY ONE STUDENT jumped up and said.. I know what it is. !!! it is just a piece of paper!!

quit concentrating on tiny miniscule things that aren't worth nuttin' and LOOK at the WHOLE PICTURE.

I have read and re-read my post above that you claim can't be understood.. well ... YOU HAVE A PROBLEM!!!

My two "clearances" were not governement appointments. They were "requirements" for entering SCHOOL!!!

EVERY SCHOOL I have ever attended, I came out #1 in the class.

I haven't taken an english comp class in over 35 years. FORGIVE ME if I have not followed the "RULES" a bit.

but then again.. forgive is a foreign word to you. bash, judge, complain, put down, lift yourself up. does it give you a nice sense of superiority?

Good for YEW!!!

More wild tangent rants with plenty of story time... I'm not a spelling fanatic myself, I don't usually care about how a person writes.

But for being the "top gun" of every class you've ever attended you've got the worst incoherent rants I've ever witnessed in my 3 years of reading news on this site.

"Our government does some incredible things. !! eye know only two well. I had held two top secret clearances."

What are you a pirate of the ice bergs up there? If so, you could have went for something like:
"Aaaar government be do'in some incredible tings these days that eiiye only know too well. Haaar haaar! Eiiye be the holder of two top secret clearences there mat'ee."

Well that would have made your humor a little more apparent. Because to the common folks, like myself, it seems like your just typing out word phonic sounds from your head.

"If you saw me walking down the street. I am sure you would avoid me like the plaque. All because I don't LOOK RIGHT."

Over the years I've build up a resistance against fearing plaques, I once won a spelling be and was presented with one. I think that might have helped at an early age.

But if you would have said plagues I would have been like, damn, I certainly don't like those too much.

Just a simple spell check run through, a few less "!!!!!!!", and lay off a little on the heavy caps usage would be a really pleasant start. Also a little less b.s. filling on the rants would be another big bridge to cross.

Sorry to criticize a self proclaimed academic "top gun" like yourself.

statement should read "lol, i guess youR internet has never knowN the greater majority of the internet"

upper-case letters used to fix typos...

what he was pointing out was more so the structure of your writting, which at time is heavily fragment and occassional hard to decipher... typos are too sometime hard to decipher and i admittedly missed these as they are the right words, but in the wrong "tense" and in the case of you, it lacks "ownership".... these are very minor problems in writting and speech.

"A bomb that can litterly wipe a country off the map, with no radiation"

Actually thats incorrect. When a particle and its antiparticle touch, both are annihilated, the result is gamma radiation.

So much for a perfect weapon...

I thought we developed a bomb...

Many years ago, that the U.S had developed a bomb, that would not harm any buildings, just the people?

neutron bomb ? http://www.manuelsweb.com/...

The United States government was going to Nuke Point Hope! without even telling the people their plans. They were willing to complelty wipe out the oldest historical site in all of North America for a deep water port.

Howard Rock (Eskimo)put a stop to this.
The government got caught with their pants down once again.!!! They abandoned their plans to do this, instead they spread nuclear waste all over the hunting grounds of the Inupaq Eskimo. All the elders up here die from cancer from eating the caribou.
Leichen is the plant that caribou eat. and Leichen cannot dissapate radioactive material as other plants do.

If you want to read the actual account.

google this: Project Chariot

they were going to do this with no notice in the 50's!!

The people of Point Hope tried to sue the U.S. government because of all the "waste" up here that is causing cancer in all of the people.

The government denies any wrong doing, stating that the amounts of cancer, which is ten times higher than the national average, is due to smoking cigarettes.

" "In 1957, the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission [AEC] established the 'Plowshare Program' to "investigate and develop peaceful uses for nuclear explosives." In early 1958, the AEC selected a site at the mouth of the Ogotoruk Creek near Cape Thompson, approximately 30 miles southeast of the Inupiat Eskimo village of Point Hope. Shortly thereafter, they developed plans for an experimental harbor excavation to be called Project Chariot. Late in 1962, after extensive scientific studies, the AEC announced that it "would defer further consideration of the proposed Chariot experiment," due in part to public criticism....

figured i'd add some substance to the claim... plus any nuclear misconduct on the US's part is of intrest to me in my case for why the US has no grounds to dictate who should and shouldn't have nukes.
