Infant Porn Lookers Busted

On Wednesday, more than 125 people were arrested in connection to a site that depicted children, some as young as infants involved in sexual acts with adults.

The suspects had subscribed to the site in late 2005 through early 2006. More than a dozen are registered sex offenders. Fourteen of the suspects appeared before a magistrate on Wednesday.

Suspects include a former counselor from a Bible camp, a boy scout leader, and a middle school sports coach.

We pay so much attention to "real-world" security
... but if these creeps are registered sex offenders, shouldn't they have some sort of digital restriction as well? Perhaps a program like businesses use to track employees' Internet use, but which could be monitored by law enforcement. If they know they'll be busted as soon as they start searching for baby porn, chances are that operations such as this wouldn't have nearly as many customers.

Really tricky legalland . I’m no expert on the legality of all this but were these people arrested for looking or for actually having something to do with the images, children or taking of the photos in question?

The source states that those who were arrested 'subscribed to the site' after reading a disclaimer about illegal content, etc.
Either way it's a crime.

The article mentions that some of these people are already registered sex offenders. Plenty of studies seem to indicate that most sex offenders can not be rehabilitated.

This is a sad commentary on society, that not only do individuals perpetrate such vile abuse but that there are PAYING CUSTOMERS lining up to view it. We need to stop being PC about the corrections system as it relates to sexual offenders, expand civil commitment, and make sure that those convicted of sexually abusing others do not find it so easy to resume their old habits.

Sickens me further; is, the ones caught in this sting op. A scout leader, Counselor from Bible camp and a coach!!??

It's like these pedos three of them, walk up to your porch and tell you a parent, they are there, to pick up Johnny for his scout night out with his school team. You will hand him over with all the trust in the World.

Only to realize years later, you sent him to the lions den. WTF??
