Student Could Get 15 Years Jail for Throwing Cake at Government Minister
Norway: John Waagaard is currently standing trial charged with attempting to obstruct the duties of a cabinet minister. Waagaard was charged after he threw a cream cake at Finance Minister Kristen Halvorsen during her first official appearance.
The charge carries a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison. Waagaard has apologized to the minister and admits his actions were wrong but thinks the charges are far more serious than the crime warrants.
The judge has allowed both the government minister and John Waagaard to testify privately. The student hopes that he will be free to attend an exam at the Norwegian School of Management on Friday.
loser cant do the time, shouldnt do the crime. Granted 15 years is heavy for it, but its assult also. He will most likly get something drasticly lighter but should still be done for assult and something mild for attempting to obstruct the duties of a cabinet minister. IE he should not be able to attend the exam. If exams meant so much to him he should have thought about that before a violent protest involving assulting a minister!
politicians are suppose to work for us. they are not above us. do you think if he threw the pie at a homeless person he's be getting 15 years? he probably wouldn't even get community service in that event. this is a message that government officials are more important than anyone else in society. how dare you insult royalty!

You say he shouldn't be able to take the exam, but would you rather have some bum and pay for his time in jail with taxes, or a person with a real job actually being productive. There are other ways to punish someone instead of taking their life away, rendering them useless and giving them more reason to commit crime because they can't live without it.
If that lady wanted to gain some brownie points by showing that she can understand the younger generation and their intolerances for certain things and try to win them over, she'd make this whole thing a slap on the wrist...
....but, as daniel2508 stated earlier. She is a politician, therefore she is not human, thus making her void of all sympathy and emotion. I'd love to be able to eat these words and see her prove us wrong. But then again, you can't have your cake thrown at you and eat it too. :)

The best part of this message is if you're gonna throw something at a government official you'd better hope you really hurt or kill them with it, because you'll get the same sentence anyhow.
for the little punk, instead of him throwing creampies at people he will be getting Cream thrown all over him in jail except it wouldnt be the dairy kind.
can't remember exact details, but a couple of years ago in the UK a man who raped a 9 month old baby, was given 15 months in jail. Can't quite remember if those number are right but, goes to show you how out of whack humanity has it's priorities
