Anti-Gay Protestors Banned from Reservation
 

The Westboro Baptist Church, known for their controversial anti-gay protests at funerals, have been barred from the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation in North Dakota a day before they had planned to demonstrate the funeral of a recently slain soldier.

"We will not tolerate any harassment that is intended to provoke ill feelings and violence," said Three Affiliated Tribes chairman Marcus Wells Jr. Church spokeswoman Shirley Phelps-Roper said, "We don't get into anyone's private area."

The funeral honored Nation Guard Cpl. Nathan Goodiron, 25, who was killed while on patrol with the 1st Battalion of the 188th Air Defense Artillery when his vehicle was struck by a grenade. He is the first casualty in the war on terror for the tribe.

Nutcases like these will NEVER be affected by things like this as we wish they would. No matter what a crowd would do to them, in their minds it will be because they are holy warriors doing God's work in a land of heathens. As that van window broke, they probably thought they had just endured one more ordeal in the name of the Lord and felt very good about themselves, rather than that they had just harassed a grieving community and were complete douches. If you've ever seen Shirley Phelps-Roper interviewed, you can tell by her blank stare that she's brainwashed into another world. All we can really hope for is that once Fred Phelps finally dies, his kids will not be organized or charismatic enough to carry on his sickness.

Imagine a chunky girl going on and on about how a slightly heavier girl is SO fat and horrible. That would say one of two things:

1) She is clueless about her own appearance and is just a b*tch.
2) She has some real issues with her weight, and projects the hatred she feels for herself onto others with the same despised quality.

Psychology is too complex to be able to say for certain who is just a self-righteous jerk and who is overcompensating for unwanted urges, but porno's ideas are not without merit.

Watching that, I realized what a scary, fragile world those kids live in. 90% of it is their hateful, neurotic religion, and you can see it PHYSICALLY warp them when they start talking about it (the younger daughter even seemed upset to the point of tears). Half of their energy goes into preaching, the other half goes into a rabid defense against any kind of questioning of what they've been taught. Their mother only spends about a fraction of the energy on holding her beliefs together, and you can see it in their eyes why. The daughters still have flickers of thought, but when Phelps-Roper is asked a probing question, there's nothing there - she's an ideological zombie.
