Minerul, a second division football team based in Lupeni, western Romania, is offering to trade it's goalkeeper for a gas pipeline. The goalkeeper, Cristian Belgradean, is being sought by several top clubs
The deal being proposed would see the owner of first division team Jiul invest £110,000 in a gas pipeline that is desperately needed by the town of Lupeni. Jiul officials are yet to respond to the offer.
If the deal goes ahead it would not be the first time Romanian clubs have traded goods for players. Previously players have been traded for half a pig and two sets of goalposts and a crate of wine.
