China's Shanxia Hospital in the Guangzhou province has given helmets to all it's staff. The headwear is to protect them from a group who have been attacking staff over a recent fatality in the hospital.
A road accident victim died after seventeen days of treatment. The family demanded compensation seeing as it had appeared he was recovering. The hospital refused to pay without an autopsy to determine cause of death. The family refused the autopsy.
The family then hired people to continually harass staff. A hospital spokesperson said, "...we have no other choice. For our safety, our hospital decided to give everyone a helmet, including doctors, nurses, accountants and even utility men."
