Man Proposes to Girlfriend, Then Knocks Her Out

Just hours after proposing to his girlfriend, Victorine Taboh, on new year's eve Stephen Mujerm allegedly knocked her unconcious with a steering wheel lock. Victorine was taken to hospital and has since been released.

The incident apparently started when Mujerm's fiancee and another passenger complained about his driving. He stopped the car, they got out and an argument ensued. As it escalated Mujerm smashed the windows and assaulted his fiancee.

New York state police have charged the 40-year-old with simple assault, aggravated assault, reckless endangering and driving while under the influence of alcohol.

  maybe....

maybe it was a good thing this happened. Better they never get married to begin with rather than her living in an abusive marriage.

I agree but It would have been so much better if he slapped her or something..

Hitting her with a steering wheel lock is a bit extreme

I agree with you, I definitely would have slapped her for breaking the windows of ther car but what he did was a little extreme.

  Say What?

She didn't smash the windows.

  Ah, just noticed....

The article isn't correct to source.

"Mujerm smashed the windows" but the source says she started breaking his windows with the Steering Wheel lock. Before he punched her, took the lock himself then hit her again with it.

I still dont condone his actions but until now i thought it was all his fault

The summary needs to be corrected.

  This

Caption needs to be revised. I thought, he was on his knees, stood up and Bam.

Honestly there is a tribe in Papua new Guinea, a groom has to knock out his bride and drag her by her locks to the den. I will try and find this on web.
