Man Hit by Mortar Gets Wallet Back 62 Years Later

Ray Heilwagen is an 83 year old WWII veteran with an amazing story.

When Ray was serving in northern France in 1944, he was hit with a mortar that sent him flying. Amazingly, he survived, but while he was recovering, he noticed that his wallet was missing.

Last month Ray received a phone call informing him that someone had found his wallet and would be mailing it back to him. When it showed up in the mail it was in mint condition and contained everything that was in it over 60 years ago, even the money.
