Bush’s Approval Rating Lower than Getting Kicked in the Balls

A recent CBS poll has President Bush’s comprehensive approval rating at 28%. He is just 4 points away from former President Nixon’s all time low of 24% and we have faith he can take that crook’s record.

To put this in context, a list of other things with a 28% approval rating included Kelly Osbourne, a wall on the Mexican border, and cottage cheese.

Things with a higher approval rating include Kevin Federline (45%), stepping in dog poo (35%), and getting kicked in the balls (41%).

ASSESS this news: BLOCK this news. Reason:
  How the hell
can being kicked in the balls have an approval rating?

Unless 41% of those that voted were bunny-boiling women :S

oh yeah, get bush out etc etc etc.

Getting kicked in the balls can be...
an incredible turn on for some, just do a google search, plenty of fetish sites around. Now, not as many Bush fetish sites around.
by: Trent Steel   02/06/2007 03:38 PM
Getting kicked in the sack does NOT imply fetish to me. Not syaing it isnt there, if one can think it, it's on the Interwebbythingy, but, jeez.

"....oh yeah, get bush out etc etc etc...."

  hey, he should be proud!
he made it to 2 ratings, his won rating and the mexican wall.
Well done!

"take that crook's"????
  by: hotrock11     02/06/2007 07:35 PM
  Yeah what the hell?
I like cottage cheese? How is it that cottage cheese has the same approval rating as Bush.
  by: Svengali   02/06/2007 08:49 PM
I know, it's almost insulting! (To Cottage Cheese that is). No but really, I love the article - very good assessment!

Funny story, thanks Valk.

  A Polls.....
Most polls are absolute slanted non-sense, and most you know it. Why fall for this BS? Who exactly was polled?

Allow me show you:

"Total Republicans" contacted: 272 unweighted and 289 weighted.

"Total Democrats" contacted: 409 unweighted and 381 weighted.

"Total Independents" contacted: 337 unweighted and 348 weighted.

  by: Le_Creep   02/06/2007 11:03 PM
  @Le Creep
Actually, you can only do so much to a poll so as to not bias it yourself. You cannot deliberately survey as many declared republicans as Democrats, because that may not be reflective of the sampled group (i.e. America) - you can only sample at random to get a cross-section of the sampled group. Unless you can prove that CBS deliberately sought out Democratic respondents or did anything but call random respondents, you cannot show bias. If you poll 10 commenters here and find 7 were women, would that mean you biased the poll in favor of women? No, it means that more women were polled, and perhaps that is because more women than men comment here. Given the number of people polled by CBS, I would be inclined to think that this, too, is indicative of the makeup of the US right now. With that many people, the chance of an improper sample is low (and no deliberate meddling has been shown). That is also reflected in the margin of error, which they disclose. One reason for the difference is that, considering that Republicans have had it pretty rough the last few years, it might just be that many are forsaking the party label these days. The number of "Independents" certainly seems larger than usual.

  Ahh, republicans
Check out Le Creep's link and look at how the percentages change when republicans see the words "terrorism" or "bush administration"(Q21/22 among others). I love it.

Also, in regards to Q75, I feel the dire need to hit approximately 29% of America in the face with a shovel.
  by: erasedgod   02/06/2007 11:37 PM
  This is probably true
I'd know I'd rather be kicked in the balls than have Bush as president.
  by: Dark_Stang   02/07/2007 12:25 AM
  CBS = Commie Bull S**t
Can the same company that paid Dan Rather "Not Tell the Truth" to forge documents about Bush be trusted on a story like this?
  by: RushOReilly   02/07/2007 01:14 AM
Congratulations on the single stupidest thing ever written on SN.

In fairness, Gallup puts Bush's approval rating at a whopping 32%. A Google of the search words "bush approval rating poll" show a similar trend.

Another moron dispatched. Next!

That's amusing. <deleted by admin>
  by: RushOReilly   02/07/2007 01:38 AM
Careful there, yes that ranks high up there, but I don't think it's the stupidest thing ever on SN :P
  by: fballer23   02/07/2007 01:45 AM
You're right, the next one was even worse.
  by: jendres     02/07/2007 01:49 AM
You're right. I can't believe I didn't realize that this person is a troll sooner, albeit yawningly unfunny and predictable.

And to be fair, the stupidest thing I've ever seen on SN was the claim that "anyone who got cancer brought it on themselves". In fact, it's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard, period.
  by: Volkova_Nova     02/07/2007 01:53 AM
You libertard's favorite source in the world, weak-apedia, says "the term is often used to discredit an opposing position, or its proponent, by argument fallacy ad hominem."

From what I recall from junior college, ad hominem is the lowest form of attack. You can't cite facts to beat my argument, so you just call me a troll. Typical of libertard thought, utterly incapable of understanding subtlety.

Next time, why don't you just offer a rational argument to defend your point of view, rather than stooping to the idiocy of the typical leftist loon?
  by: RushOReilly   02/07/2007 05:48 AM
Yeah, whatever. You're obviously an older user having fun pretending to be a mindless conservatron. We get it. But your act is neither funny nor fresh. Better shuffle off, stage RIGHT, troll.
  by: Volkova_Nova     02/07/2007 06:11 AM
  @volkova nova
Please stop responding to this person! : ) I know it can be hard ...
  by: l´anglais     02/07/2007 06:21 AM
I was sort of hoping to out-troll the troll, but fine. As you wish.

You owe me one, though. ;)

Some idiot wrote a book on such rubbish, I so agree.
  by: captainJane     02/07/2007 12:00 PM
To the guys disagreeing about the poll...
come on... a kick in the balls' pain wears off after a few minutes... a president wears off after a term or 2. Some men wouldn't mind sacrificing for humanity, hence the popularity of being kicked in the balls!
  by: DarkAngelJG     02/07/2007 12:51 PM
One can STAND after a few minutes...doesn't mean that the pain doesn't linger for much longer!

Not 8 years, though...and it's not a national kind of pain.
  by: MomentOfClarity     02/07/2007 11:55 PM
  Quite True!
The pain usually lingers for quite a while.
  by: StarShadow     02/08/2007 12:04 AM
I happen to like cottage cheese. I think this is a conspiracy!!
  by: TaraB     02/08/2007 12:11 AM
  @ starshadow
as MoC said, not 8 years!
would u rather get a kick in the balls or have an extra 8 years?
come on, be honest!
  by: DarkAngelJG     02/08/2007 12:26 AM
Well of course it doesn't last 8 years, it does linger for more than just a few minutes though. It's not the kind of pain you forget easily either. Be happy it's something you'll never have to worry about :P lol
  by: StarShadow     02/08/2007 12:44 AM
Those of you volunteering to be kicked in the testicles can PM me any time. I can be a harsh mistress, and will enjoy giving you several swift kicks to the crotch, whether by the toe of my boot or a sharp knee to the groin. My rates are reasonable, and I will treat you like the scum you are. Call me!
  by: Volkova_Nova     02/08/2007 12:53 AM
  @ star, volkova
i know... i wouldn't be philosophising that much if i had to!
if you get overwhelmed with bookings give me a shout!
  by: DarkAngelJG     02/08/2007 01:15 AM
  @volkova_nova & Dark
Some quick questions before I sign up:

Is the picture in your info you?
Are you the red-head or brunette?
Is the other included in your rates or extra?

@dark: Paying money to be kicked in the balls by a couple women as opposed to paying dearly for 8 more years of Bush? That's an easy call. You'd be rich.
  by: erasedgod   02/08/2007 01:22 AM
  Pt 2
Upon (slightly) further thought, I came to the conclusion that I'd even let Val give me a shot in the boys for one less month of Bush, let alone several years.
  by: erasedgod   02/08/2007 01:24 AM
  @ Volkova and Dark
If you guys get filled up, I can book a few also.
  by: TaraB     02/08/2007 01:40 AM
  This poll is total BS
It has to be because porn got a 28% approval rating too. I mean...who doesnt love porn?

and cottage cheese for that matter

Never trust a poll! ever!
  by: Mr_dudeman   02/08/2007 11:27 AM
  Whoah, one at a time!
Alright - just to settle this once and for all:

The picture on my ID is *not me*, but rather another girl with the name Volkova. I used this picture because I like her attitude. I do have dark hair, though, yes.

Second, while I'm flattered by the number of male SN users who would pay to be kicked in the testicles, I confess I was only joking. Testicle kicking is something I only do when absolutely necessary, and I think most girls here can attest that sometimes a swift kick to the balls is very necessary indeed.
