Deadbeat Parents Pictured on Pizza Boxes

Butler County Child Enforcement Agency has ordered up the idea of putting pictures of parents that have failed to pay child support on pizza boxes. Cynthia Brown came up with the idea while ordering pizza from a local pizzeria.

"It suddenly dawned on me that most people running from the law don't eat out, they order pizza," said Brown. She approached several restaurants with the idea but only 3 have began participating.

"Some customers joke about it and say they're glad they aren't on it," Karen Willis said. "Most seem to think it's a good idea." Fathers' rights attorneys are calling the tactic "horrible".

Ok, so what will you tell your kid when he sees his father/mother's' face on his pizza box????

....what about when his friend sees it? You really want private matters to be publicly fought??? Child support should be between the family and courts...not some old woman down the street too

  Is There Not ......
...... anything legal of privacy issues to curtail this?

Seems this is a bit over the line.

As a child support paying father
I would have to agree with you vet. Way over the line. What happens if I lose my job or otherwise can't pay for a couple months. I lose my license, goto jail, and am featured on pizza boxes? It's getting ridiculous

My Father Was on a Double-Cheese and Pepperoni box
No, wait.. that's just a grease-stain.

So.... err.... are pizza-delivery people expected to call the cops while they are out moving pies?

at least you'll be kinda famous..

  This is great!
I absolutely think this is a great idea EXCEPT they need to work on the bias against men in the courts on the whole support issue.

Deadbeats are sometimes created by the courts.

I wish that I could offer a perfect solution.

I would think (though I try not to)
it would be illegal to use someone’s picture as advertising in any media without express consent given in a signed form. Placing wanted posters in the post office is much different than spreading them all over hell on pizza boxes. I won’t be buying any pizza from any organization that abuses privacy rights like this. Why don’t they print what’s left of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights on the boxes so we know how limited our rights are today as compared to yesterday?

"It suddenly dawned on me that most people running

That doesn't even make sense.

What happens when a person is working, and thier boss takes out the child support out of the persons checks but doesn't turn it into where it needs to go so it can reach the kid? Other than repeat warnings, nothing where I live. ?My sister has been going through this crsp for the last three or more years.

  Can we
do the same with those hundreds of thousand of mothers who don't let the fathers see their children?

Revenge is always sweet!!!

In the case of pizza, I'd say revenge is greasy..

  This is so Wrong
Any women who does that, is telling her own child, how rotten their other half is.

Once the same child grows up, the repercussion are always a payback. The child wants to have nothing to do with the father because he was a dead beat and runs from mother because of her insensitivity over the father.

This is where a saying in swahili would really make sense.
'When two bulls fight, it is the grass that suffers'
Grass = Children

  deadbeat payments
Advertise their pictures on the boxes, pay the royalties for use of their photos to their delinquinces.

  I have an idea
Why not put pictures of deadbeat parents, child molesters and other wanted felons on boxes of ammunition?
Also put their pictures in gun stores.

Some public spirited hunter just might be able to do us all a favor.
Cuts way down on court costs also.

For a good debate on the issue listen to the debate between Father's Rights Attorney Maury D. Beaulier in Minneapolis and Cynthia Brown the architect of the Parent's on Pizza boxes idea at

A blog on the issue appears on Mr. Beaulier's web site at
