Al-Qaeda Reportedly Planning Attack "on Par With Hiroshima"

According to a leaked intelligence report Al-Qaeda is planning to "shake the Roman throne" with an attack on "a par with Hiroshima and Nagasaki." The report indicates that the plan will have the help of supporters in Iran.

The document says that there is no evidence indicating a relationship between the Shiite Iranian leadership and Sunni Al-Qaeda but claims that Iranian leadership may be turning a blind eye to terrorist organisations within the country.

Some experts suggest that the boast may not refer to a nuclear attack. "It could be just a reference to a huge explosion. They have got to do something soon that is radical otherwise they start losing credibility," one counter-terrorist source said.

  And

the villification of Iran continues. This is a very convenient leak and the whole thing is based on the word of one member of the network. Onward we march toward a conflict with Iran. I better get fit, I may not be able to afford fuel soon.

  omg they just tied

Al-Qaeda to Iran now!!! didnt that happen to a couple of their neighbors before large explosions came from a different nation?

  hey

ya sacared yet ? ................lol

"They have got to do something soon that is radical otherwise they start losing credibility"

like these guys are coming up to an election soon ...lol......if there is one thing Al-Qaeda has on it's side it's time ...they have plenty of time .. I don't think they worry about "credibility" or swift results ...or drumming up electoral support

  What If...

Al-Qaeda comes through good on their 'promise'. England retaliates in an overwhelming show of force, Iran gets on the hotline to Russia....
Well the UN and the EU will step in way before that and declare peace, right?

  by: crosimoto     04/23/2007 02:36 PM
  hahaha

and people believe this? if shaking "the roman throne" is a reference to the vatican it wouldn't make sense since it's protestant leaders waging the war, and the vatican is one of the only western friends the palestinians have.

in regard to the al-qaeda/iran link, do these "intelligence" agents even research the groups they decide to lie about? much like the taliban, al-qaeda is a radical sunni group. they hate the iranians and the feeling is mutual. this is the same bullshit they tried to pull with saddam who was also a shiite. gee, can anyone think of a powerful sunni nation in the middle east with its hands in our government which would benefit from a war with iran?

  Complaint to the Mods

Hugo's been reading my mind again.

:P

Isnt Al-queada alledgedly responsible for the daily car bombings in Iraq?
Surely thats doing something?

Or is it just "do something that can be reported by Fox"

@Cros
If AQ set of a nuke in London and the UK retaliated by plastering Iran with nukes, I dont see what you think Russia is going to do, even if Iran "got on the hotline"

Lets face it, Russia *Could* retaliate against the UK, but one, we could still hit back with nuclear weapons, and two, the US would be forced to support us.

Russia sat back as Sadam was taken down, why would risk war over Iran?

Roman Throne is US imperialism

  by: Gogevandire   04/23/2007 02:58 PM
  @cros

actually they would more likely be "getting on the hotine" to china... china has already said they would defend iran if they were to be invaded or attacked... russia's made no such declaration that i'm aware of, russia simply supported their right to nuclear power.

  by: havoc666     04/23/2007 03:55 PM
  who else?

If China pushes their chips in, wow! When can we call it WWIII? Does the US have to be involved for that? what about the EU and the UN what role do they play?
(obviously brushing up on my world politics here)

  by: crosimoto     04/23/2007 04:45 PM
  @Cros

China wont want to fight a hot war againast the US over Iran.
They dont have any pieces in play, and the US could force them to fight on two fronts and starve them of resources.

China needs oil just as much as the US, and the US can interdict those supplies very very well.

If anything happens, it'll be 100 thousand chineese military advisors going to south america.

Saddam was Sunni NOT Shiite, that was one of the main reasons that Iraq and Iran (which is Shiite) were at each others throats.

  by: PBoxter   04/23/2007 05:56 PM
  yeah what gog said...

Roman throne does refer to the US and to our imperialistic nature and may go even further referring to our society slipping towards the Roman's lack of morality or that we modeled parts of our gov't on the Roman gov't's republic. A few hundred years ago we used to idolize the romans as ideal.

  by: kuhl   04/23/2007 06:13 PM
  Yep,

the Bush admin is laying the ground work and the propaganda for some action against Iran. Bush, Cheney and even former AG, John Ashcroft, have made the same speech about this nuclear threat. They have cried wolf too often. No one is listening any more.

  Ditto what Hugo said

Credibility? Yeah, because if they don't do something
big soon, they'll have to turn in their membership to
the evil terrorist club. Sounds like this "leak" is about
trying to bolster someone's credibility, but I don't
think it's Al-Quaeda's...

by: Mister crank     04/23/2007 06:50 PM
  rediculous!

The US is now just simply trying to wage a war on anyone who looks similar to someone who is similar looking to a small group of individuals who attacked us in one isolated incident. (Yeah its confusing on purpose, but it also makes sense if you break that down slowly.)

if this was "leaked" than dont you think someone should be fired over this. Oh wait thats just the keyword they used for this one. "Leaked" = "Given to reporters"

Nah, I don't think anyone is scared yet. Nothing happened. Just a threat.
Though I would imagine anyone with intelligence would take heed to any threat.
I guess if you think about it, the best laid plan would be to take it serious. Then take precautions to minimize the chance of it happening instead of laughing at it.
Its probably the smarter move as there is always some truth to every rumor.
I hate getting caught with my pants down don't you?
Its not bad enough getting caught but I would feel really stupid had it happened after I had prior warning. If the threat turns out to be idle then I am no worse for the wear *LOL*

  Impeachment for Cheney

Kucinich announces impeachment charges against Vice President Cheney

Michael Roston
Raw Story
Tuesday April 23, 2007

The Articles of Impeachment themselves are now available, and can be accessed at a link at the bottom of the story.

After a series of delays, Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH), a candidate for president in 2008, announced a series of charges against Vice President Dick Cheney in Washington, DC, late in the day. Kucinich alleged that the Vice President had committed a series of impeachable offenses, and he was therefore introducing Articles of Impeachment against Cheney in the Congress today.

There is no War on Terror

The so called war on terror is a false-flag operation. It's purpose is threefold:

1)Grasp, maintain power and make money for the greedy.
2)Have greater influence over Middle eastern oil in a time of lessoning supply.
3)Serve our masters in Israel(the PNAC paper written for Israel in '98 calling for expanded war, huge disproportionate Israeli control of US policy via mainstream media and the largest PAC in DC being AIPAC, etc..) Israel, the only nation that could openly discriminate against minorities and also get away with the idea of a "two state" solution without being labelled seperatist or supremacist. Meanwhile, it's proponents in the USA and Europe(ADL, SPLC, etc..) hypocritically push the entire opposite for all other people. Why is seperatism hate for us and the opposite for them? Hitler called German's the master race, Jews call themselves and convince others they're "God's chosen master race", zionism is nothing less than nazism for Jews.

There is no war on terror. It's about selfish and greedy people pushing for their own interests and more control.

  I will not be surprised.

When are some of you ging t look at the other side of the coin in an intelligent, thoughtful manner. When will you make any effort to see another side of a situation? You are no different than a closed minded Sunni or Shitte. Just wake up in the morning knowing you are right and there is no other way. That is why it takes so long to solve a problem in countries with the dumb, poor and the closed minded.
Hate being taught to children is insane and to not jump all over it with both feet is sick. You see Bush as a devil but who in the name of tood teaches their children to hate and kill.
That is your enemy. That is where you should direct your loud, neverending voices.
