Report Says Israel, Hezbollah Will Complete Prisoner Swap by End of the Summer

A newspaper in the United Arab Emirates, Al-Ittihad claimed today that a prisoner exchange between Israel and Hezbollah will be finished by the end of the summer and will include the 2 two IDF soldiers held by the Lebanese-based group.

The claims come from the paper's reporter in Beirut and credits political sources saying Hezbollah has requested the release by Israel of Lebanese, Syrian, Jordanian and Palestinian prisoners in exchange for Eldad Regev and Ehud Goldwass .

The paper claims that one of the central points of dispute is that Israeli is demanding proof of life of the two soldiers where as Hezbollah demands that Israel must first free some Arab prisoners for such information.
