Sexist Airline Ad Axed

An advertisement for the Iberia airline has been cut following complaints that it was sexist. The ad shows Cuban women feeding one baby tourist from the bottle. They were dressed in bikinis and drove the baby to the beach, and danced and massaged him.

The ad also featured the text "feed me mulattas ... come on little mamas, take me to my cot." Consumer rights group Facua argued that the advertisement is not only offensive to Cuban women, but could promote sex tourism.

The cartoon-style ad was online and has now been removed.

OMG! how dare you say such a thing. DOn't you know that saying the truth is deeply offensive to those who want to live in a bubble, cut off from the rest of the world. Think about other peoples feelings just for once!! ***VOMITS***

i saw a coffee advert today

three "cool" chicks laughing over their cancerchinno's and a "sexy" guy walks past, they drop a pencil and he picks it up and they all look at his arse and giggle and laugh and point.

If it had been the other way around... well you get the idea

@koultunami: you have a point but...

you have to admit, the advert *does* being to mind "hot mammacitas".

and it does stereotype (even though it's positive stereotype) cubanas.

But half of the adverts I see rely on some form of sex as a subliminal lure at the very least.

  i've seen

a handful of blatantly sexist ads towards guys, for example, an ad for kotex in which they literally tell women they are "biologically superior", yet nobody complains about those.

  Sometimes you'd wish...

Feminists would burn themselves occasionally whilst burning their Bras!

Ohhh I'm gonna get flamed for that one! :P

BTW anyone found a link to this ad yet? It's gotta be on YouTube or something.

  Iberia violates IMBRA

By potentially facilitating communication between
American men and foreign women without first
obtaining background checks from the men, Iberia
violates IMBRA.
