Britain's Hugh Laurie Awarded OBE

"House" actor Hugh Laurie has been honoured by Queen Elizabeth II today at Buckingham Palace. The Queen awarded Laurie and his comedy counterpart Stephen Fry, and actress Emma Thompson, with an Order of the British Empire membership.

Laurie and Fry became famous some 20 years ago, with their skit show "A Bit of Fry and Laurie". They later starred in "Jeeves and Wooster", which became hugely popular. Laurie has also had some smaller film roles.

He is best known globally, however, as Dr Gregory House in Fox's "House" TV show.

  Those two
were also in a show called "Blackadder" together, starring Rowan Atkinson. It was just 4 seasons spanning across several centuries in Great Britain, always focusing around these characters. Funny stuff.

How long ago was it that Blackadder was the bomb? (Heh, that metaphor will never get old)

Still as good as or better than House

  A wise decision
Forget house, it's crappy American drivel like most American shows.

Take a look at Blackadder, A Bit of Fry and Laurie, Absolute Power, Jeeves and Wooster, etc etc.
