Pop singer Britney Spears has claimed that the February attack on a car owned by a paparazzo was her preparing for a movie role she was auditioning for. The attack came shortly after Spears shaved her head and shortly before she entered rehab.
Spears wrote on her web site: "I apologize to the pap for a stunt that was done four months ago regarding an umbrella. I was preparing my character for a roll (sic) in a movie where the husband never plays his part so they switch places accidentally."
The message continued to say: "I take all my rolls (sic) very seriously and got a little carried away. Unfortunately I didn't get the part."
