Avion Lawson, 14, and Nathan Walker, 16, were being held without bail Friday on suspicion of armed sexual battery by multiple perpetrators, aggravated battery, armed home invasion and sexual performance by a child.
The pair are alleged to have been part of a group of about 10 masked suspects who invaded the mother's home after ambushing her and her son outside.
They were then forced back into the house, where the men raped, sodomized and beat the woman, before forcing her son to have sex with his mother in front of them at gunpoint. The boy was then beaten and had cleaning products poured into his eyes.
...somehow the death penalty seems too humane for these pieces of human waste. Just how FUBAR does your moral compass have to be to commit something like this?
Sounds about right, I don't care if they're teenagers, especially if they're not willing to name the other attackers. Rape is a terrible thing, somewhere between murder and genocide, but forced incest is beyond words. These two (assuming they're guilty) deserve to have everything below the belt chopped off, including the legs and possibly hands too to insure they can never commit a crime.
Where did they learn this from, porn? Video games? Are their parents being charged for anything? That poor boy, he was only 12 yrs old. He probably lost his virginity being forced at gunpoint to r**e his own mother. Coming from someone who believes killing people who kill people to show killing people is wrong, I think both these kids should be taken out... painfully. Some things are unforgivable.
on the psychological impact this will have on the relationship between mother and son? I believe there may be, beyond the criminal case, a civil case against the 10 assailants. In the case of the assailants under the age of majority, there may be standing to name their parents in the lawsuits as well. They need to fund the counseling they both need.
Yeah I was thinking about that too. That poor kid will probably never hold a stable relationship in his life now, flashbacks every time he gets in the mood.
"the victims suffered no life-threatening injuries in the attack" hmmmm, would be interesting to know in the long term and if they will survive the psychological trauma... too early to state if they will live or not-these things can f*ck people up badly.
Death entence is too linient and they are kids, (i know i will be shot for saying this) counciling might work or many years in jail so they can get a taste of what they did (rape). Jane, no finger nail pulling talk please, i almost fainted reading that!
I think somewhere between "Skinned Alive" and "Bush Admin..." is where the solution lies. If you throw in the storyline from the "Saw" movies, not only do I think you'd get their attention, but give them the wakeup call they desperately need. "You've obviously lost all respect for life, so lets play a game...". muaHAHAHAHHA! It's too bad we cant just give them a dose of their own medicine without screwin someone elses life up in the process!
Welcome to the "Land of the Free". Unfortunately theres too many people that have lost the true meaning and no longer understand that "true freedom" must be cared for and gaurded closely, not just trampled upon and tossed aside mearly because they can "just do it" and get away with it. Every great empire throughout history has enjoyed its moment in time at the top, and they have all fallen because they were consumed with sin and lust for evil. The USA is a great place to live if one can maintain the values and principals of our forefathers. My solution is to live a simple life and have something more then materialism leading your way down the dark path of uncertainty. I hope I didn't just get too far off subject. :)
I was thinking that too. I was watching a show about riots and stuff like that and they were showing stuff in foreign (not US) countries. They seem to have some crazy things happening, but it seems the US does have more.
Everytime someone does something wrong, I see the typical responses of people, blaming movies, video games, music. How comes "the people" never blame themselves? Nothing will improve as long as you blab your mouth and toss blame around on something other then ourselves. But dont expect the world to be perfect, if it was it would be so, so boring.
Suspyria, I think you're on the right track, but..
speaking in general terms, these constant bombardment of media influences do have a way of shaping the way a person perceives and rationalizes things out to a point. If a person never learns any dicipline or never really learns where to draw the line between right and wrong, then they live an existance of essentially too much grey area. With that said, I absolutely agree with you in that at some point, all else set aside, we MUST reach a point of accountability! It's a mindset that people have learned somewhere growing up that has actually made the perpatrators themselves the "victims" if that makes any sence. Then again, I've seen some people given every opportunity in life and throw it all away. I myself am an overcomer and refuse to give in to crippling victim mindset that allows those twisted individuals to justify the crap that they pull and often times get away with. We all have the capacity to do evil, but its where "thought" and "action" are seperated that shows which side of the line we all stand on ultimately. So, Yes, I think people that cross that line "should" be punished and held accountable if they cannot manage it themselves.
How come the most F*ed up stories consistently come from Florida? Any scientific studies done on the *effects* of Flori-duh vs the rest of the national demographic?
Sad story... lots of wounds (mental especially) caused by this action. Skinned alive and have a truck-full of Morton salt poured onto their wounds. That would be a good starting point for retribution.

This is not meant to be an attack on you but what you said is a crock! In my opinion it is almost as senseless as whoever wrote "bush admin please listen." Our society lost common sense and responsibility for one actions from thoughts like this. It is wording like yours that is taken to far and sends a message to young people "no need to worry, whatever you do it will be blamed on something else and surely it was someone else's fault that caused this." This is all backed by money hungry lawyers who feed on those thoughts to make sure it sticks so they can take the free ride into some corporations pocket book.
Kids know right from wrong they just don't care because they don't have to. I'm reading posts where people are laying the blame on the parents. When in reality it is the fault of a society where we allowed the rights of parents to be stripped when it comes to correcting their kids. We have kids suing their parents and as a result it is the kids that are running the show and yet nobody can figure out what's wrong! We are the only creature on this planet where we allow the kids to run the roost.
We have millions of GOODY TWO-SHOE people in this world who worry more about trying to explain why things like this happen instead of what happened, showing more concern for the criminal then the victim. When the sad reality is no one really knows but everybody wants to appear more intelligent then the other so they find something that sounds good to blame it on and they go with that. While the fools of the world buy into it when all the time the answer is right in front of their face. OLD Values and Corrections worked.
Still in the mean time those poor kids who were lead astray by some game or movie are running a muck with no respect for themselves or life simply because they know in the end they will not have to face the responsibility for what they did. It is the nature of kids to get away with what they can. I was no angel but I knew my limits because we had limits. Today's young people and adults alike are well aware some Goody TWO-SHOE group will come in and save em with their intelligent reasoning convincing people it was not their fault. In the end some game company, movie maker, or some fast food place will be sued and they will make a fortune for their lives being ruined because of them. Meanwhile the victims get nothing.
Why can't it be, they are just a bunch of sick little pricks and their actions need to be dealt with. Frig why! I don't know about you but I cannot honestly convince myself out of 10 kids, they all watched this or played that and then decided to go and act it out. I cannot fathom out of these 10 kids at least 9 of them did not know it was wrong in every way possible.
My thoughts are not limited to this particular case. Sick stuff like this is happening all over the world and that is the fault of ourselves for allowing them get away with it. Time to go back to the old school ways and send an old message out to these kids and adults a like. You are held responsible for your own actions. No one cares why, just that it happened.
If it were my call I would take em out in Shark infested water, slit their wrist, throw them off the boat and tell them to swim. A eye for a eye. Get what you give.
******s that do stuff like this deserve to be brutally tortured for days on end and believe I am in no way overexaggerating on how I feel about scum like this.
Agreed! What it really comes down to is that these kids are sick, twisted, perverted...I could go on and on...The deserve to be punished to the fullest extent of the law and that's letting them off easy for the pain, horror and anguish that they've caused this mother and son!
These kids are ordinarily fine upstanding members of the community. And your hateful rants aren't helping the matter.
They've obviously been lead astray by some violent video game. It's not their fault their parents have been too busy with something "more important" to teach them the difference between right and wrong. and because of this, the kids are gonna swing for it! Lighten up everyone they've probably learned their lesson. They can change, they just need a chance. Let them off if they promise never to do it again.
LOL!! Like Feck!!
Nah, seriously, string em up by their ball sacks and burn them to alive/death (your choice) with a cigarette lighter <:)
i agree with everyone but "summertime" why the hell does everyone always want to throw in the video game thing on every crime. here we are talking about a sad story that happened, a horrible crime and you actually think a kid playing a video game will make someone want to do something like this COME ON!!!!
