STD Warts Increase Oral Cancers

According to research out of the United States, the virus that causes sexually transmitted warts also increases the risk of mouth and throat cancers, and a call for men to be vaccinated against the virus has been made.

The vaccine for HPV is already well publicised in terms of young women and girls, but the new research suggests men need to be vaccinated, too. The increase of HPV in men and the consequent rise in oral cancers, could be related to oral sex.

  just some facts FYI

Before you all start with the ignorance-fueled flames against people with diseases.

There are over 300 variations of HPV, but less than 30 are capable of causing cancer and less then 10 are "likely" to cause cancer. It is also less than 10 variations that can cause visible genital warts. There is no cure for HPV, however most people's immune systems completely clear the virus within a year, two at the most. Over 75% of women will contract some form of HPV in their lifetime, most will never know it. Over 90% of men will at some point have sex with a woman who is currently carrying some form of the HPV virus.

I was unaware that many genital wart STDs were non-visible. That does shed some light onto how it spreads.
