Lindsay Davenport Wins on Comeback

Former world number one tennis player Lindsay Davenport has won her first match in almost a year at the Bali Open in Indonesia. Davenport beat fifth-seed Eleni Daniilidou in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2.

Davenport took the year off after falling pregnant. She gave birth to her son, Jagger, three months ago. Of her return, Davenport said: "It's only been three months ... I still need to work on my movement around the court."

She also said of the match: "It did exceed my expectations. I know that I can play good tennis, and I know that if I stay healthy and play well, I can do well."
