US Cocaine Drought Doubles Prices

America’s top anti-drugs official claim that cocaine prices have doubled in areas of the country following a strict crackdown on supplies.

Head of the Office of National Drug Control Policy, John Walters, claims that the crackdown on suppliers in Mexico has led to a cocaine drought in 37 cities.

The US is currently preparing aid worth hundreds of millions of dollars to aid Mexico in anti-drug operations.

  so now..
we can expect a rise in violent crime as the druggies need more cash for their habit.

just last night i was saying this to my broth
the drug world has its own economy. when the economy is good, crime goes down. when the economy is bad, crime goes up.

our "war on drugs" is in fact creating more crime both within our country and those that supply us. pity.

If I did cocaine I'd be pissed.

But yeah, legalize it and there would naturally be less crime. The more things that are illegal, the more criminals there will be.

  Nevermind: we can invade Columbia
That'll send the production skyrocketing. </sarcasm .. or was it?>

  How about this idea
The US government buys a years worth of cocaine at a time and destroys it.
The Columbian drug lords just want the cash, so this should be a lot cheaper than wasting millions funding manpower, and wear on ships and aircraft, mostly to little or no effect.

Of course, this will put a lot of law enforcement people and semi-useless FDA hacks at risk of losing their jobs.
They won't be needed.

Oh you mean controlled drought... right?
Double prices means double pprofits, the powers that be are rolling in snow... rolling... lol

  cocaine drought?
that must mean our "war on terror" is interfering with our "war on drugs". the CIA is probably too busy torturing people and inciting violence to do their usual job of trafficking drugs into the US.

on second thought, isn't opium up again? nevermind, they just switched drug sources from colombia to afghanistan.

You shure couldn't tell this story to be true in some areas near where I live. The crackheads are still out in droves doing the stuff that crackheads do. Crack is made from coke, from what I hear. I'm not at all for the legalization of cocaine, but perhaps leaglizing marijuana might be a good idea. Everyone would be legally too stoned to worry about getting C.

  Cocaine Prices
I know people in Oregon and Washington and the cocaine prices haven't just depends on the source. Fairly accurate prices are listed here ... and you can see the prices. Although it is still very expensive any way you look at it.
