Kremlin Power Steams Rice

On a visit to the Kremlin to discuss the controversial US-Eastern Europe missile shield, Condoleezza Rice waded into Russian domestic politics with a criticism
of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

After meeting with Russian human rights activists, Rice stated that she wanted to help them to protect people from the "arbitrary power of the state", adding
that she did not wish to interfere in Russian internal affairs.

She was further quoted as saying that there was "too much concentration of power in the Kremlin", and that "everyone has doubts about the full independence of
the judiciary". The US has accused Putin of "rolling back democracy".

  Voices In My Head
Rice was heard (in my head at least) saying "she wanted to help them to protect people from the arbitrary power of the state while we supress our own, take away their freedoms, and lead America to global domination".

Doesn anyone REALLY disagree with what I heard in my head?

From another thread, I posted the following conceraning Rice's statement......

[1] As if the US isn't in deep enough crap in Iraq, now they are going to put their heads into Russian affairs.

[2] Yeah, claim another country has too much internal power, while your own is invading the world one country at a time while ignoring the pleas of your own people.

I tell ya, it's all over except for the mushroom clouds.

  I get
the hypocrisy in her statement, she still has a point though.

Sadly, the time for full and proper democracy in developed countries appears over.
