Visitors to the tomb of Tutenkhamun will now get a chance to see the boy king without the golden gilded lid and fully view his face. Enclosed in a climate controlled glass showcase, only his face is visible; his body is covered in a white linen sheet.
"The face of Tutankhamun is different from the face of any king at the Cairo Museum. He has these beautiful buck teeth ... the tourists will see a little bit of a smile on the face of the golden boy. This ..boy will live for ever." said Zahi Hawass
Mr Hawass is the Chief Archaeologist for the Egyptian Government.
