Al Qaeda Second in Command Invites Questions for Online Interview

In a video posted on a number of Islamic web sites Ayman al-Zawahri, al-Qaeda's second in command, has invited viewers to submit questions for him to answer in an online interview to be published next month.

In the same video Zawahri suggested that Islamic State, an al-Qaeda affiliated group, has been infiltrated by people who carry out attacks on civilians. He claims the goal of the infiltrators is to alienate Sunnis so they will ally with the US.

He also mocked the British withdrawal from southern Iraq. "Reports from Iraq point to the increasing power of the mujahideen and the deteriorating condition of the Americans... the decision of the British to flee is sufficient [proof of this]."

  It gets

more ridiculous each day. Why did we get involved out there? This has just been a shameful, expensive mockery of the US and UK. Time we were all out of there, no more killing, no more terrorists with online interviews.... geez.

How is that the have websites. If the U.S. controls the internet then why aren't they being shut down. the U.S. could hack, trace or at lest remove them from the DNS servers(internet post office).

How did AQ succeed with the no military response on 9/11?

I can only imagine the outcry if the US started using it's mild control over the internet for this. I'm also not entirely sure just exactly how much control the united states has over the DNS. I'm sure they could do something or other to block this, but in doing so it would give fuel to all of the people trying to pry any centralized control over the internet from the US. Just because the US doesn't agree with something doesn't mean they should be able to censor it outside their borders. (And censoring it within is also pretty lame)

"How did AQ succeed with the no military response on 9/11? "

If he comes back with any answer other than, "we were not involved", then that website is probably run by Cheney's cronies.

  hmm...

How much can we pay for Osama to go into exile?

Just need to come up with a new plan that permanently subsidizes peace across the middle east. Just like what we've been doing across the board in Iraq.

Well, we have an administration that has claimed near victory in doing so. What a great sustainable plan, man.

Put the enemy on payroll and claim victory! I was almost forgetting what this war was all about for a sec there.

Might aught to be more careful with using terms like "A la". Given the context of the post and what.

Door kicked open, Wife and children grabbed and forced into a corner at gun point. The Jack booted homeland security grab you for a rendition trip around the world.
It is now a safer world.

I would not give a person much of a chance of getting on a plane after asking a question at this web site.
