Circus Elephant Kills Trainer

Australia: An interim post-mortem report has indicated that Ray Williams, a 57-year-old trainer, died as a result of a broken back and a ruptured aorta inflicted by Arna, a circus elephant from the Stardust Circus.

Some doubt had existed over the cause of death as the trainer was known to have had a heart condition. Animal liberation groups have called for the elephant to be moved, saying that elephants that kill once often do so again.

"Now that Arna has had a taste of it - and if her situation is not changed - then the public is at risk. To put Arna before people, including children, would be irresponsible," said Animal Liberation spokesman Mark Pearson.

  Good.

Bastards caging and zapping (ie tazing) animals deserve to be squished.

Usually people who dedicate their life to be with animals. Love those animals. I bet this guy if he had made it, would have been the first to oppose any punishment on the elephant. IMO His prime concern would be to make sure it does not happen again, not revenge.

When dealing with an animal that weighs

4 or 5 tons, it seems to me that even if it just sneezed on me I could end up with broken bones from the blast. A friendly swat from the elephant's trunk could dent a car.
My policy has always been to never piss off any animal that is larger than my head.
