Palestine Spending Aid on Terrorist Dogma

A tax payers' alliance report shows that British aid to the Palestinian state has been spent on text books glorifying terrorism, praising the killing of the UK's forces in Iraq and teaching Palestinian children to hate all non-Muslims.

The report also highlights material shown by the Palestinian Authority’s official TV station; one show's content included “We want to kill the Jews. Kill them one by one, make their children orphans and their wives widows.”

Shadow Foreign Office Minister David Lidington has contacted both the Palestinian authority and the United Nations relief authority.

I can't side with either side in that war. They're both screwed up.

  Misleading

Even if we accept the source of the news article (although a newspaper that calls itself "The World's Greatest Newspaper" and has a logo of what resemble a Crusader, strikes me as a bit odd) as being reputable, the source on which they based themselves is not (Tax Payer's Alliance). The Tax Payer's Alliance report is blatently biased (read it and see for yourself), however it contains some interesting information (which the source for the news article only briefly mentioned). Namely:

That actually British aid as far as education goes, was used only to pay for teachers salaries and debts of the education ministeries.

And that the accusation that Britain is aiding "terrorist" (lol?) funding, is by paying for essential needs of the Palestinian state and it's people. To which they specificalyl mention that by helping poor palestinians and helping reduce the debt of the PA authority, that the UK is "freeing" up money for other nefarious activies.

The report basicaly uses out of context phrases and passages in textbooks and tv shows that are not funded, as an excuse to cut ALL funding to projects that are for the most part torwards people living in dreadfull conditions, over the excuse that if the PA authority is swamped with debt and without aid it won't have the ability to fund activities they consider to be terrorist (obviously if they go totally bankrupt they won't be able to fund anything at all, including feeing their own people).

@AnsweringQuestions I'm not suggesting that you were misleading with your article, since you wrote what's on the source. Just providing context regarding the bias of the article's source (Tax Payer's Alliance report) as well as the article itself.

  About the source

The newspaper goes by some other names too such as "Stupid Express", "Diana Express", and "Maddie Express".

From wikipedia
----
"The Daily Express is a conservative, middle-market British tabloid newspaper."

"The Daily Express has a reputation for consistently printing conspiracy theories based on the death of Princess Diana as front page news."

"The Daily Express has been criticized for its readers, regarded as even worse than Daily Mail 'punters'."

Daily Mail is a right wing newspaper.

  Very Amusing

The story is dubious. I’m sure some money gets spent on suspicious material but it tries to imply this standard practice .If a Television station decides to broadcast a religious sermon is it really responsible for what the preacher says ?What happened to all the freedom of speech crowd ? As for spreading hate , does anyone really believe the Palestinians have to be thought to hate their oppressors from text books and TV. Don’t you think the reality on the ground there is motivation enough?

Should the UK be giving money to people who learn at school that it glorious for them to kill our soldiers?

Easy question.

Nothing to do with free speech, religion, anything like that.

The Palestinian education system teaches kids to kill British soldiers, and we give them money.

Do you not see something wrong with that?

Atleast I don't go to right wing anti-muslim websites and present their opinion as news.

The reason my stories were blocked was bcoz i copied and pasted extracts from the news site. I was new to this website and didnt know i had to summarize.

@
As Oak pointed out the Palestinians don't need to be taught to hate their oppressor. Put yourself in their shoes and think about it.

"At least I don't go to right wing anti-muslim websites and present their opinion as news."

I dont, as I said, I saw the story as I was buying my dinner.
And whats opinion about it?
Are you saying the books dont say its glorious for palestinian children to grow up to be suicide bombers?

"The reason my stories were blocked was bcoz i copied and pasted extracts from the news site. I was new to this website and didnt know i had to summarize."

Feel free to post more.
I'll even rate them fairly, unlike you.

"As Oak pointed out the Palestinians don't need to be taught to hate their oppressor. Put yourself in their shoes and think about it."

Perhaps you'd like to explain how UK soldiers in Iraq are oppressing Palestinians?
Or even if they somehow were, why the UK should give them money to call for its soldiers to be killed?
